Camp Eildon is owned and operated by The Outdoor Education Group – an independent ‘not for profit’ organisation that provides outdoor experiences for more than 30,000 participants per year.
Camp Eildon, set directly on the banks of the Goulburn River, is just outside of the township of Eildon in North Central Victoria and only 90 mins from Melbourne. Originally known as the Eildon Centre and used almost exclusively by school groups, Camp Eildon has now also opened its doors to community groups of all kinds and families wishing to spend time in the beautiful outdoors.
Camp Eildon is the perfect base for school and community groups of up to 200 looking to participate in activities such as canoeing, rafting, kayaking and bushwalking, high ropes and rock climbing. The onsite facilities (meeting areas, range of fixed initiatives and low ropes elements, kitchen, ablutions block and dining room) mean that your participants and leaders have a comfortable base to return to after the day’s activities or to use as a ‘stand alone’ venue.
Camp Eildon is also a boutique camp site for individuals and small groups. It offers comfortable and secure camping right on the banks of the Goulburn River, with basic amenities and facilities on site. It is a great alternative to the bustling ‘mini city’ atmosphere of caravan parks.
